Revocation by Thomas Field of Tamworth (Warwicks.), yeoman, of the indenture of feoffment dated 11 May, 9 Charles I [1633], made between him on the one part, and William Fetherston, then of Packwood, gentleman, on the other confirming unto the said William Fetherston and Thomas Normansell all those 2 closes or pastures called "the Barneyardes" and all that close of land called "the Nethermost Clayfeild," alias "the Bottom," adjoining a meadow called "Shillpittes" and containing 2 acres; and also all that "dreyne or brook course" called by the name of all that "streame, brooke watercourse, and waterfall" running through the other closes; and also of free liberty of "ingresse, egresse, or regresse" at all times to "scoure or amend the said dreyne"; and also all that bank made in the "upper Clayfeild" over against "Fishers poole lead," together with a little plot of pasture or wood ground 2 perches in length and breadth; and also 1 close called "the Fordrowe";all of which premises are situated in Tamworth, and are now in the tenure of Thomas Field. Said deed was on the express proviso that if the said Thomas Feild should be minded or disposed to alter or revoke all or any of the estates or uses in the said deed either by his sealed writing delivered before credible witnesses or in his last will and testament, that then it should be lawful for him to do so; and whereas also since the making of such estates in the certified deed specified, Margaret Feild, one of the daughters of the said Thomas Feild, has married and taken a husband, one Edward Willson, contrary to the good will and liking of her father, he is minded and determined by these presents to alter, revoke, and make void every such estate by him to her appointed. Now Thomas Feild declares substitution of the following uses, that is: to his own use for life and then to the uses of Philipp Feild his son and of Mary, Cicely, and Katherine Feild, three of his daughters; saving the use of "the Nethermost clayfeild" which is to remain in the first place, after his death, to the use of Cicely his wife, and then to Philipp, Mary, Cicely his daughter, and Katherine, as above.
